Job Description

The University of Missouri Department of Athletics is seeking an Assistant Women's Soccer Coach.

Reporting to the Head Coach, the assistant Coach will be directly responsible for coordinating the activities of his or her unit.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Student-athlete recruitment and development, on field coaching, contest scheduling, and compliance with all NCAA and SEC rules and regulations;
  • Coordinating and preparing his or her unit for competition, including organizing practices to ensure the unit operates at a high level;
  • Assisting with the development of the overall student-athlete experience by mentoring student-athletes including evaluating their performance in practice and competition while providing leadership and instruction in areas of deficiencies as required;
  • Assisting with implementing recruiting strategy, including statistical analysis of prospective student-athlete data and assisting in off campus recruiting and evaluation of potential student-athletes;
  • Participating in the collection and analysis of tactical and statistical data of opponent tendencies and assisting in designing scouting reports and game strategies;
  • Promoting the philosophy and objectives of the University of Missouri Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, including adhering to all Departmental, University, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations;
  • Performing other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach, the assigned sport administrator, or the Director of Athletics.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in off-campus recruiting, game strategy, strong organization skills, excellent communication skills and strong leadership abilities.

Shift

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; Nights, Weekends, and Travel as required.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience coaching a NCAA Division I soccer team.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
