As the driving force behind our premier ALM tools, ALMEdge and ALMEngineer, you will lead with expertise in shaping the future of financial guidance for countless community banks while supporting UBB's Investment Officers. Ideal candidate will be located in the Twin Cities and will have the option of working in-office, hybrid, or mostly remote coming to the office approximately once per month.

Essential Responsibilities


  • Prepares ALMEdge and ALMEngineer (UBB's asset-liability management tools) quarterly production, file maintenance, and classes.
  • Creates periodic blog posts for UBB's ALMEdge customer website.
  • Creates quarterly ALCOTalk newsletter for customers.
  • Assists community bankers on ALM issues where they may have signed on to this product. Manages and markets ALMEdge and ALMEngineer
  • Supports Investment Officers with creating ALM strategies to promote in marketing bonds more effectively by helping to define the position of the bank in coordination with the salesperson.
  • Presents economic updates and modeling at UBB's monthly Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) meetings.
  • Aids UBB management where appropriate with seminars, research or related tasks on ALM issues. Also develops and presents ALM classes.
  • Presents at UBB customer events.
  • Provides an understanding of the theory of interest rate risk; advises banks of what the ramifications are and explains policy guidelines.
  • Provides direction in clarifying the CAMELS rating report.
  • Manages 1 FTE.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics with banking emphasis including banking regulations and requirements
  • 5+ years direct experience as asset liability manager or consultant
  • Able to communicate both in writing and orally, participating in occasional speaking engagements
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time for speaking engagements
  • MS Office, internet, standard software packages

Pay Range


  • $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 Salary; depending on education, qualifications, experience
  • Annual bonus target: 10% of annual pay dependent on company and personal performance
