Regional Account Executive Team Lead

Summary:
Execution of strategies and decisions to achieve customer service and sales targets for production facilities within the region assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Collaborate with TM's and direct AE's to generate new business opportunities and maximize business with existing accounts.
-Strategize with plant production control to manage customer priorities and daily shipping targets.
-Oversee AE's to manage daily shipping targets and average trucks weight goals.
-Work alongside AE's and TM's to identify any customer service improvement opportunities and manage action items to ensure goals are met.
-Work with 2nd shift shipping to solve any issues that could impact customer service and provide any guidance in decision making as needed for customer shipments.
-Autonomy to manage level 1 approvals.


  • Level 1:
    -Returns / Credits up to $2,500.00
    -Transactional pricing up to 10% discount
    -Coating substitutions up to 20,000lbs
    -Gauge substitutions up to 10,000lbs
    -Manage negotiations of any additional charges / fees for orders
    -Up to 5% additional discounting for projects less than 250klbs that do not carry additional political implications.


-Work with Regional Director and TMs on managing "Level 1" project pricing and strategy.


  • Level 1:
    -"General quoting guidelines" for budgets and bids communicated regional sales teams.
    -Manage customer specific programs and discount (Full skid, pick up allowance, service programs etc)


-Work closely with RSM and BAT to establish monthly incentive goals and competitions.
-Work closely with BAT team and TM's to manage larger transactional pricing opportunities.
-Manage the collection of market data and pricing feedback to report to TM's and BAT team.
-Act as AE representative on weekly pricing calls with RSD, BAT and RSM.
-Represent sales with plant management, production control and traffic to find solutions to achieve or exceed customer service demands during day to day operations.
-Manage account coverage and PTO schedule of the inside sales teams.
-Assist the team in account coverage in times of increased volume and order inquiry or in the event of staffing shortages.
-Report and document any personnel issues or challenges to Regional Sales Manager. Work with RSM to collaborate on a proposed resolution or action items and assist in ensuring optimal outcomes are achieved.
QUALIFICATIONS
*Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
*Able to work in a team environment.
*Strong interest in continuous improvement.
*Ability to work with offsite locations to resolve problems.
*Strong work ethic.
*Ability to be available at all times to address any customer, plant or TM needs.
*Experience with commercial construction, the steel industry, company procedures.
*Budget/forecasting experience, product knowledge/involvement.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
*Bachelor's degree preferred.
*5+ years of experience selling in a manufacturing environment.
*Attendance at both sales and management training/seminars
