Job Title: Clinical Sciences Program Manager

Position: #00832670 - Requisition: #36443




Job Summary:



This position will involve overseeing and managing a statewide educational program designed to train multiple health care disciplines in geriatric care principles. Project management functions will include identifying partners across academic institutions and the coordinating development and administration of training to health professionals from diverse backgrounds. A special emphasis will be placed on engaging participants from rural areas and underserved communities.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Maintain data to support programmatic goals.
  • Ensure program/project compliance with regulatory bodies.
  • Assist with and oversee the day-to-day operations of projects.
  • Develop protocol-specific systems and documents including process flows, training manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintaining OnCore Clinical Trials Management and Clinicaltrials.gov profiles.
  • Coordinate and implement human subject recruitment.
  • Consent qualified study participants.
  • Assist in scheduling and conduct study related visits and outcome assessments as required by the protocol, including but not limited to:


    • Clinical: obtain medical history, assist with testing assessments, assist with and process human tissue, blood, and other samples.


  • Make buffers and solutions including performing concentration and dilution calculations and pH adjustment.
  • Assess, document, and maintain quality control of all study-related data (using RedCap, OnCore and laboratory notebook).
  • Data entry and quality assurance.
  • Maximize retention of study participants.



Work Location:



Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in any field.

    • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.


  • Four (4) years clinical research with a focus on exercise physiology or related experience.


Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or health related field.
  • Five (5) years clinical research with a focus on exercise physiology or related experience.
  • Prior experience providing program and/or project management duties in a clinical research setting.
  • Prior experience in conducting an exercise training clinical trial.
  • Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g., EMR or EHR and data management systems).


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Strong project management skills and experience within a complex and diverse environment.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
  • Demonstration of strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
  • Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology medical terminology.
  • Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information.

Anticipated Pay Range:



The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $67,403 - $85,736.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
