TEKsystems is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineers for one of our clients' Performance Platform team. This role can sit fully remote but requires working Pacific time.
Candidates MUST have experience with: * Azure engineering * Building CI/CD pipelines with ADO (Azure DevOps) * Extensive experience designing and implementing AKS (Azure Kubernetes) for deploying, managing, and scaling containerized applications * SRE background, with ideal experience in reliability engineering, performance engineering, chaos engineering, fault injection, etc. *Description* Team: The Performance Platform team is a PaaS solution which designs and implements CI/CD pipelines to engineering teams releasing features to in-store systems, particularly the POS (Point of Sale) with the goal of equipping teams with release management testing to ensure there are no breaking changes, load issues, etc. providing automated performance/chaos management reporting. Role: *As a Sr Systems Engineer you will partner with developers and software engineers to enable DevOps services and features. *You will also be responsible for enabling neighboring Point of Sale teams to help maintain their tools improve their processes. *Your primary goal is help ship code as safely and quickly as possible. *You must be expertly proficient in cloud, IaC, automation, pipelines, and scripting. Team culture/work environment: *This is a small team but with heavy cross team collaboration *Majority of the team is remote *Build performance platform *Production control systems *Some who will own/fixed/build devops pipeline Daily Responsibilities: *Continually learn and integrate industry standard best practices for devops, cloud, and release engineering. *Come with the mindset to focus heavily on business value add features and enablement. *Standardize and simplify complex tools and processes that span multiple teams. *Owner of an enterprise pipeline responsible for building and releasing over 100 applications. *Partner with developer teams to understand the technical requirements, software language, infrastructure, and app hosting solution. *Design and implement production maturity release tools as a service offering to many teams. *Collaborate with peers to create, design, engineer, and implement e2e processes api/cli driven solutions. *Work in an on-call (9am PT to 5pm PT) environment offering release engineering support to app devs and software engineers. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Secondary Skills C# Programming: While not mandatory, having experience with C# can be advantageous, especially for integrating with existing systems and developing custom tools. Collaboration and Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with developer teams, understand their requirements, and provide necessary support. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues that arise in the DevOps pipeline and production environments. Continuous Learning: A mindset geared towards continually learning and integrating industry-standard best practices for DevOps, cloud, and release engineering. Secondary Tools Monitoring and Logging Tools: Familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), or Azure Monitor for monitoring application performance and logging. Configuration Management Tools: Experience with tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet for managing and automating infrastructure configurations. Version Control Systems: Proficiency in using Git for version control, including branching, merging, and managing code repositories. CI/CD Tools: Additional experience with other CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI can be beneficial. Containerization Tools: Knowledge of Docker for containerization, alongside Kubernetes, to manage containerized applications. *Experience Level* Expert Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $75.00/hr.
