The Program Coordinator for the Joseph Ballay Center for Design Fusion plays a vital role in supporting the Center's mission to foster innovation, collaboration, and education. Reporting directly to the Director, the Program Coordinator will provide strategic and operational support in planning, organizing, and executing the Center's programs and initiatives. This individual will also serve as a key liaison to project sponsors, and internal and external partners, ensuring the smooth delivery of programs and projects. Your core responsibilities will include:
Support the Director in planning, organizing, and delivering educational programs and workshops. Coordinate logistics for events, programs, and activities. Develop and maintain project timelines, schedules, and deliverables. Support internal funding processes for projects and faculty support, including tracking budgets and expenditures. Provide administrative and organizational support for research and design projects. Prepare presentations, reports, and proposals to support the Center's activities and partnerships. Collaborate on initiatives to enhance the Center's profile through targeted outreach, marketing, and community engagement efforts. Update the Center's website and social media platforms. Support activities to expand the Center's reach and impact, including identifying new funding opportunities, potential partnerships, and programming ideas. Conduct research and benchmarking to inform new initiatives and ensure alignment with best practices in design and innovation. Provide insights and recommendations to the Director on opportunities for growth and development. Ensure compliance with institutional policies and procedures related to program delivery. Assist in the preparation of grant applications, funding requests, and progress reports. Other duties as assigned.

Requires wide range of mobility, i.e., ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach, bend at waist, grasp and pick up objects, maneuver in cramped areas, perform minor repairs to equipment, stand for long periods of time, lift and carry equipment and other heavy materials up to 50 lbs. up stairs and pull and push carts up to 150 lbs. University offices, auditoriums and classrooms. Routine exposure to computer and audio-visual equipment. Adaptability and openness to change as the department and organization evolves. Ability to work well with others and/or as part of a team. Ability to pay close attention to detail; keep and maintain accurate and detailed reports and records. Bachelor's Degree 3-5 years of relevant work experience Program coordination, project management, or a related role. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, students, sponsors, and community partners. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management software, and familiarity with design tools or platforms is a plus. Experience in educational programming or research-focused environments. Knowledge of design, innovation, or interdisciplinary research principles. Experience in grant writing or fundraising.
