Main Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting
directly to TriMas Packaging's Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, this role will
support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, associated
analysis as well as general commercial support and strategic decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement & balance sheet forecasts, operational reporting) taking into account company's goals and financial standing
  • Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts and strategic plans
  • Prepare financial reports for the executive team and Board of Directors
  • Assist Admin controller with monthly financial reporting an accounting related to Admin entities
  • Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve performance
  • Develop robust financial analysis of historic and future performance to enable appropriate commercial and strategic decision making
  • Provide market insight and commercial analysis to identify and analyze potential strategic and operational opportunities for the group
  • Tracking delivery of business initiatives and providing insight and analysis for success criteria
  • Work with divisions to assist in the preparation of long range plans and business cases for new capital expenditure purposes and cost benefit analysis
  • Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function
  • Support development of a business analytics/intelligent system
  • Support the production of management accounts, investigation of variances and identification of areas for commercial improvements are carried out in an effective and timely manner via the finance team
  • Adhoc projects as required

Qualifications

  • 2+
    years' experience financial analysis, accounting, or finance
  • Ability
    to manage and prioritize work effectively
  • Basic US and GAAP accounting principles
  • Excellent
    knowledge of MS applications (Advanced in Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong
    analytical skills
  • Ability
    to liaise at all levels of the business
  • Proactive attitude
    with regard to operational excellence
