About the Job

The Agriculture, Environmental Science, and Maintenance Summer Employment position is a seasonal position that will report to Adam Erickson. The position will be working independently and with others helping with multiple tasks around the farm and at our administration building. Focused on facility maintenance but also assisting the livestock crew and the agronomy department.

Major Areas of Accountability (with percentages)

  • Facility Maintenance: 50% (property maintenance, painting, power washing, cleaning/organizing, etc.)
  • Agricultural Assistance Labor: 20% (help with forage production, equipment cleaning and light maintenance, weeding, etc.)
  • Livestock Assistance Labor: 30% (fence repair and maintenance, help with calf chores, etc.)

Qualifications

Required

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be a hard-working individual in good physical condition
  • Agricultural background preferred with experience in operating farm equipment
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $15.25 - $18.00 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience
