Shared Services: Global Outreach (Full-Time, Day Shift) - Job Summary: The Program Manager-GHI (Global Education) manages educational initiatives and programs on behalf of Loma Linda University Health (LLUH), which benefit the global community. Demonstrates interest and sensitivity in working with people from different cultural backgrounds and majority world resource-challenged healthcare and academic contexts. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in business, political science, education, international, or related field required. Minimum three years' experience in project management, event management, education, healthcare, or international-related work required. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of project management methodology and managing large scale global events; international travel and visas; the Seventh-Day Adventist Church organizational structure, processes and affiliated organizations of the General Conference; current national and international issues that may affect institutional travel and influence LLUH international partner sites; export control requirements, intellectual property, and other issues that affect international education activities; demonstrates passion and interest in international service and helping others. Business may be conducted by phone, email, or teleconference at odd hours to accommodate differences in time zones and to meet critical deadlines. Able to read, write and speak in English with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position, e.g. CMS platforms, Word, Excel, Power Point, Canvas, LLUH Travel Portal, Destiny One, Microsoft Teams, ZOOM; operate and troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction; develop guidelines and processes appropriate for a successful and efficient program; maintains a high standard of program delivery and continuity, with emphasis on excellent customer service. Able to think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; maintain strict confidentiality; maintains sensitivity and discretion in working with other cultures; manage multiple assignments with high degree of detail and organization; compose written material; work well under pressure and changing priorities; problem solve; plan for contingencies; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; self-motivated to develop initiatives with little direction; initiates the planning process 2-5 years in advance and manages multiple events at a time in varying stages of development to facilitate continual schedule of programming. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position; drive regionally for meetings, events, and airport pick-ups/drop-offs.
