Sr. Financial Analyst (FP&A supporting R&D)

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst will support world-class financial forecasting, planning, reporting and analysis. The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team works closely with the CFO and strives to be agents of change and strategic thought partners to the business. Specifically, we are looking for a self-starter to join our FP&A team and working extensively with the R&D and business operations team helping to budget both operational and capital expenditures, author monthly BvAs to understand variances to forecast, and manage headcount and POs. Further, you will lead the team to consolidate financials for R&D and generate data-driven reporting for executives. Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytical support for monthly BvAs and working with other members of the FP&A team to author and present findings back to leadership

  • Analyze key metrics - distill / synthesize trends and assess current and future business risk

  • Drive accurate forecasting and insightful analysis of budgets and headcount

  • Extract required data from internal systems, lead analytics projects, and monitor key trends in relevant metrics

  • Work independently and in conjunction with our FP&A, accounting, corp FP&A, and R&D teams

  • Maintain and update key weekly dashboards for executive staff

  • Fulfill ad-hoc analytical requests as needed

  • Adhere to all security rules and guidelines

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and close attention to detail

  • Advanced level user in MS Excel and Google Sheets

  • 4+ years of financial analyst experience or similar

  • Experience with financial systems such as Hyperion, Cognos, Business Objects, SAP, Anaplan, or Netsuite preferred

  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally)

  • Strong presentation, organization, and communication skills

  • Motivated self-starter that adapts to changes in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace

  • Operates with high integrity and transparency

  • Passion for teamwork and collaboration

  • Humility balanced with drive to succeed

  • Ability to deliver high quality results while working in a fast-paced environment

Preferred experience:

  • Understanding of SaaS business model and cloud operations

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and thrive in a rapidly changing business environment

  • Project management skills

If you are hired in Colorado, California, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Maryland, Washington, Connecticut, Rhode Island, the compensation range for this position is between $77,350 and $110,500 for full-time employees, in addition to eligibility for variable pay, equity, and benefits. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, health and wellness, 401k, ESPP, vacation, parental leave, and more! The salary may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.
