JOB MISSION:

To ensure the financial health and stability of our organization by effectively managing accounts receivable and resolving customer disputes. Commitment to maintain positive customer relationships through professional and empathetic communication. Remain diligent when pursuing timely payments and leverage negotiation skills as a part of deduction management.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Collection Management:Oversee the collection of outstanding accounts receivable for a specific portfolio of high transaction and dollar volume customer accounts.

  • Payment Processing:Accurately process and post customer payments, primarily ACH, checks and electronic transactions.

  • Account Reconciliation:Reconcile payments to customer accounts and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.

  • Deduction Resolution:Investigate and resolve customer discrepancies and disputes, ensuring timely resolution.

  • Order Release:Handle review and release of sales orders, maintaining acceptable credit risk and exposure.

  • Compliance:Ensure operation is with accordance to customer's vendor agreements.

  • Post Audit Claims: Review claims, analyze and provide supporting documentation for resolution.

  • Customer Service: Assisting customers with resolving account issues, such as incorrect billing or slow payments.

  • Collaboration:Work closely with the Sales management and customer operation teams to ensure smooth financial operations.

  • Reporting: Informing management about credit and collection activities and any issues that arise.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Experience of working in Credit and Collections for 5 plus years

  • Interaction with Sales and Customer environment

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting or a field related is beneficial

  • Verbal and Written Communication:Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with customers, team members, and management.

  • Negotiation:Skilled in negotiating payment arrangements and resolving disputes

  • Problem-Solving:Ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.

  • Attention to Detail:Ensuring accuracy in financial records and documentation.

  • Data Analysis:Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports

  • Empathy:Understanding and addressing customer concerns with a professional and empathetic approach.

  • Microsoft Office and Customer Resource Management Platforms

Flexible Work Schedule

For decades we have fostered a unique culture founded on our values with a particular focus on in-person teamwork and collaboration. Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year. This model will help us enhance our culture while continuing to maintain elements of flexibility.
