HDR is currently seeking a Hydropower Intern to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Hydropower professionals. This position will be based in our Charlotte, North Carolina office. Primary Responsibilities You will be part of a rapidly growing team working on a variety of exciting projects that will test your engineering skills and set you on a path for career growth. As an integral part of a team, you will support both active construction and design projects. A combination of field and office support is anticipated to provide the successful applicant with a broad hydropower experience. This is an excellent growth opportunity for a self-directed individual who is eager to learn and take on new challenges. In the role of Hydropower Intern, we'll count on you to: Gain real-world experience on exciting projects Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry Preference given to local candidates Required Qualifications Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program Attention to detail Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills Basic Microsoft Office skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company.
