Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) is excited to invite applications for the position of Chaplain at our Prescott Campus. We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced individual to serve as a spiritual and pastoral guide for our vibrant campus community. In this important role, the Chaplain will provide meaningful support to students, faculty, and staff, fostering an inclusive, welcoming environment that embraces diverse faith traditions, cultural backgrounds, and worldviews.

The Chaplain will offer thoughtful guidance during times of personal, emotional, and spiritual need, ensuring that all members of the ERAU community feel supported and valued. This role will play a key part in promoting the holistic well-being of our campus by encouraging personal growth, resilience, and a sense of belonging.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Masters degree in Divinity, Theology, Pastoral Care, or related field
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in chaplaincy, pastoral care, or a similar role, preferably in a university or educational setting.
  • Experience providing spiritual care in diverse, multicultural environments is strongly preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Proven ability to offer counseling, support, and spiritual care to individuals from a variety of faith backgrounds.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Experience in organizing and leading religious services, retreats, and events.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Understanding of student development and the challenges faced by college students.
