JOB SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of enterprise business application design and development activities. This role will have business application strategy responsibilities as well as development and support responsibilities for multiple concurrent projects. This includes requirements gathering, process definition, assisting with testing, documentation and ensuring the successful migration of code to Production. A high-level of technical programming skill is required in order to devise or modify new and existing programs and interfaces. The primary focus of this position will be on the Oracle Manufacturing and Financial and Supply Chain systems, its interfaces with other systems and Oracle development tools including: Oracle Forms 6i, Oracle Reports 6i and Oracle Discoverer. Additionally, this role will be responsible for design, development and maintenance of SQL based applications using PL/SQL and SQL. A strong emphasis will be on accessing data from relational (Oracle) databases to ensure a quality end user experience. This includes developing applications, which may interface with other systems. Knowledge and understanding of applications life cycle and technology alternatives is required. Communication is key in order to effectively work with both business and IT staff. Incumbent must be able to work well within a team environment as well as independently.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop optimal effective solutions for Starkey's eBusiness applications.
o Collaborate with the business and IT to develop detailed design specifications.
* Work independently and in teams in the development, testing, implementation and maintenance of Oracle
based systems.
o Build solid understanding of Starkey's Oracle EBS applications
o Use Oracle tools set to meet business requirements.
* Provide detailed analysis of problems; prepare detailed design documents with recommendations based on quantitative reasoning.
o Understand and establish IT control policies.
o Assist in the development of Starkey's application design standards
* Create and apply innovation, creativity and improvement to development process and implement process and procedural improvements.
o Collaborate with IT management and development team members to identify and execute process improvements.
* Coding and unit testing application software across production support, enhancements and projects.
* Designing and developing technical solutions to a pre-defined requirement and develop components including extensions, views, customizations, modifications, reports, and workflows independently or as a part of a team.
* Enhancing performance in the Applications environment: tuning code, reviewing table and applying indexes
were needed.
* Following documentation, software development methodology, version control and testing, and migration
standards.
* Developing a cooperative environment that fosters knowledge sharing.
* Providing technical guidance and mentoring to others in areas of expertise.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Education, Certification and Experience Requirements:
* Education (i.e. 4-year college degree, license, certification)
o 2- or 4-year degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required
* Experience (i.e. years of work experience related to the job)
o Minimum 8 years of experience designing & developing in an Oracle EBS (11i or 12) environment
Knowledge / Technical Requirements:
* Oracle database triggers, packages, and procedures using PL/SQL
* Oracle Reports and or BI Publisher, Oracle Forms
* General knowledge of Oracle RDBMS and UNIX scripting
* Experience with TOAD, Oracle SQL Developer or SQL Navigator or similar tool experience required
* OA Framework experience preferred
* Oracle Workflow experience required
* Application Express experience preferred
* Advanced Queuing experience preferred
* Version management experience preferred

Salary and Other Compensation:
The target pay rate for this position is between $103,000 - 140,700 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include: geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is eligible for a bonus based upon performance results. There is no guarantee of payout.
