Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. Job Summary Supervises unit operations and staff for a specific shift in the absence of the Manager of Cardiology Services. Performs a variety of management activities including coordination of unit activities, supervision and evaluation of assigned staff, payroll functions and problem resolution. During staffing shortages, the Supervisor is expected to take on a clinical role and deliver direct patient care.
Essential Functions

Performs a variety of patient care activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care on assigned shift/service. Activities include rounds; investigation/resolution of patient care issues; coordination procedural schedule, resource management ensuring appropriate staffing and equipment; direct patient care; and interdepartmental coordination. When delivering direct patient care, the nursing process will be used to gather patient information, formulate a plan of care, implement the plan of care, and evaluate and/or revise the plan of care. Incorporates patient and family learning needs and teaches accordingly. Performs a variety of personnel activities by assisting the Manager with the interviewing, hiring, evaluating, counseling, and performance management of assigned staff. Assists with orientation and development of staff. Performs a variety of customer service activities to ensure that customer service expectations are met or exceeded. Activities include role modeling; staff counseling; patient rounds; service recovery; and problem resolution. Performs a variety of quality management activities to ensure that quality expectations and regulatory requirements are met. Ensures unit compliance to Prisma Health, departmental, safety, environmental, and infection control standards for assigned shift/service. Assists in maintaining unit budget by appropriate allocation and utilization of unit resources on assigned shift. Develop, submits, implements, and evaluates performance objectives for self and unit. Assists in planning, directing, and evaluating various short term and long-term projects. Ensures appropriate surveillance of assigned patients identifies barriers related to specific care issues and seeks assistance as appropriate, thereby maintaining quality and patient safety. Performs other duties as assigned
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
This is a supervisor job which may have direct supervision of team members which may include hire/termination authority, disciplinary authority, and performance management responsibilities.May have budget input or responsibilities. Job is not considered a member of management staff.
Minimum Requirements
Education - Associate degree in Radiology, CVT, Respiratory Therapy OR Diploma in Nursing. Experience - Four (4) years of interventional cath lab experience

JOB RELATED CERTIFICATION - COTR Licensed as RN in SC or RCIS or RRT Specific Acceptable Credentials (if applicable)
