As the Director of Product Management, you will be at the forefront of transforming T-Mobile's portfolio management processes and governance from business inception to performance management. Job Responsibilities:
- Drive Process and Governance Transformation:
- Lead the portfolio management process overhaul, ensuring standardized intake, requirements gathering, and prioritization of initiatives across business and IT teams.
- Establish and implement a governance framework to ensure transparency, accountability, and alignment with T-Mobile's long-range plan (LRP), focusing on high-value initiatives categorized as Rocks.
- Develop and implement standardized processes for managing product initiatives, including business case evaluations, NPV calculations, and KPI definitions.
- Lead Product Board across partner teams:
- Integrate governance processes, prioritize initiatives, and act as the single front-door with IT to allocate resources.
- Work with business, IT, and finance partners to ensure alignment on portfolio priorities using the Rocks, Pebbles, Sand framework.
- Ensure efficient resource allocation by collaborating with key partners to address capacity issues and shifting priorities.
- Enhance Product Lifecycle Management:
- Refine the product lifecycle from ideation to execution, ensuring alignment with business goals and measurable outcomes.
- Promote Agile best practices and POD-based delivery models to improve time-to-market and cross-team alignment.
- Foster continuous improvement within product management teams, encouraging process adjustments based on feedback and performance data.
- Ensure High-Impact Prioritization:
- Prioritize high-value initiatives that align with LRP outcomes, carrying out our established framework.
- Drive adoption of consistent impact metrics to verify the portfolio aligns with strategic goals.
- Leadership and Team Collaboration:
- Lead change management strategies to ensure the adoption of new and more efficient and effective processes across the organization.
- Mentor product teams in adopting new processes, tools, and governance practices for successful initiative delivery.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Define and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of governance frameworks and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on portfolio progress, standards, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Regularly assess alignment between resources, initiatives, and strategic goals to ensure critical initiatives are prioritized and on track.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience (MBA preferred).
- Experience:
- 7-10+ years of relevant product management experience, with a focus on portfolio management, governance, and process improvement.
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale products or initiatives against ambitious deadlines.
- Experience transforming large product portfolios, particularly in an Agile software environment.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of portfolio management, resource allocation, and capacity planning processes.
- Foundational understanding of AI and its application to optimize workflow and process delivery.
- Product mindset with the ability to identify hypotheses, design tests, and drive outcomes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across teams.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align priorities and ensure successful execution.

Base Pay Range: $191,300 - $258,800
Corporate Bonus Target: 25%
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as qualifications and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
