Job Duties: Associate, Product Controllers with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Perform daily, weekly, monthly profit and loss (P&L) analyses for Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC) and Equity businesses. Analyze P&L around trading activity and risk positions to highlight significant items to senior management and prepare P&L commentary. Liaise with Trading Desk and Operations Teams to ensure transactions are booked appropriately and to facilitate the resolution of any issues (P&L discrepancies) that may arise in a timely manner. Perform daily balance sheet analyses for FICC and equities businesses. Perform independent price verification procedures monthly to ensure inventory is held at fair value.

Job Requirements: Master's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, Accounting Science, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, Accounting Science, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience with a Master's degree or three (3) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree with: liaising and building relationships globally with internal stakeholders, in a highly quantitative, high-pressured environment; working with capital markets and financial products; working with risk assessment infrastructure related to financial firms; performing securities inventory pricing review; assisting the preparation of key external reports including 10-K and 10-Q; performing ad hoc analyses such as variance analytics for management or external reporting; researching and troubleshooting problems independently and presenting findings to senior management; and identifying opportunities for process improvements and developing methods to reduce risks and enhance controls.
