Here are examples of the types of things you may encounter on a typical day:

IT Service and Support



  • Monitor the OIT ticketing system, fulfill requests and manage incidents within established SLOs.
  • Use Endpoint Management tools to update and deploy computer images.
  • As requested by instructors, certify computer labs for exams using secure browsers.
  • Provide backup coverage for ticket fulfillment in other areas of the Multimedia and Desktop Solutions team.


Technology Maintenance



  • Collaborate across the University IT community to drive continuous improvement in systems administration duties for employee and classroom computer images.
  • Routinely survey classrooms, conference rooms, and computer labs to ensure computers, printers, and peripherals are configured and functioning properly.
  • Regularly test and maintain backup classroom computers to ensure readiness and redundancy.



Work Location:



Hybrid - This position is eligible for a hybrid work environment. AMC OIT strives for a high-flex work environment. This position may work remotely 1-2 days per week. The work schedule will be based around core working hours in Colorado Mountain Time. During the training period, this position may be required to work on campus more often.

Minimum Qualifications:

Professional

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in business, Education, Information Systems, Computer Sciences or a closely related field
  • Substitution: 4 years of professional or high-level technical experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree.


Experience:



  • 1-2 years' progressively responsible experience providing IT support in an enterprise environment.


Senior Professional

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in business, Education, Information Systems, Computer Sciences or a closely related field
  • Substitution: 4 years of professional or high-level technical experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree.


Experience:



  • 2-4 years' progressively responsible experience providing IT support system administration in an enterprise environment.


Preferred Requirements



  • Experience working in a higher education setting.
  • Experience in IT support in a classroom or other enterprise setting.
  • Experience using Active Directory and Group Policy to manage users, computers, and groups.
  • Experience managing computer groups and administering large-scale changes with SCCM or other enterprise management tools.
  • Experience managing both physical and virtual servers.
  • Experience with SQL database administration.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Must be self-motivated, self-managed, and able to adjust priorities in response to rapidly changing conditions based on customer and campus needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work as part of a team.
  • Must be able to manage conflict and high-stakes interactions and remain positive and productive.
  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate both with non-technical and technical audiences and stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in IT Support, including the ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Anticipated Pay Range:



The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as

IT Professional: $51,794 - $68,000

IT Sr Professional: $68,000 - $72,000

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
