Position Overview

We are looking for a Technical Instructor who will be responsible for training a diverse DoD audience of range engineers on how to operate the world's largest cyber range, the Persistent Cyber Range Environment (PCTE).The successful candidate will be able to deliver courses both online and in person, provide assistance with evaluating student progress against course materials and their effectiveness, and provide facilitation support to other instructors during course delivery.

The position is full time on-site in Fort Meade, MD.



Responsibilities

* Independently deliver and manage technical training sessions.

* Lead small group instruction and support student mentorship.

* Play an active role in updating training materials and recommending curriculum improvements.

* May assist in onboarding and mentoring Level 1 instructors.



Required Experience/Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science) or equivalent work experience.

* Level 1: Less than 2 years of experience in a technical or instructional role.

* Level 2: 2-4 years of experience in technical instruction and virtual/in-person course delivery.

* Familiarity with IT operations, VMware vSphere or NSX, Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory, Linux, Atlassian Jira/Confluence, Puppet or Ansible, and networking concepts.

* Strong understanding of the technologies being taught.

* Effective communication and presentation skills.

* Ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.

* Demonstrated time management, adaptability, and teamwork capabilities.



Preferred Experience/Qualifications

    Knowledge of or prior experience with PCTE.


Special Requirements/Security Clearance

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status and a TS/SCI security clearance. Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.

Occasional travel may be required (as part of a mobile training team) up to 25% of the time.

Salary Range

Based on the roles, responsibilities, and requirements, the projected pay range for this position is: $110,000 - $130,000.

The annual base salary provided is a guideline for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. When extending an offer, CESI also considers other variables such as (but not limited to) work experience, education, training, skill set, internal peer equity, clearance level, and market conditions. In addition, CESI provides an extensive selection of benefits and offerings to our employees.
