Position Summary
The Senior Account Manager for the C-Nav Business is responsible for maintaining and growing the existing customer base while developing new accounts throughout the Americas region. This role may also provide sales support for other Oceaneering business units as needed. Assisting current and prospective customers by identifying optimal solutions for their positioning needs, covering sectors such as offshore oil and gas, dredging, telecommunications, civil engineering, offshore renewables, and government entities. A critical part of this role is educating customers on the benefits of Oceaneering International's precise point positioning correction technology, engineered solutions, technical hardware, and associated software through demonstrations and presentations. Key responsibilities include managing major customer relationships, driving business development efforts, and ensuring the successful delivery of C-Nav products and services to clients. The Senior Account Manager will act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, leveraging expertise to anticipate client needs, provide tailored solutions, and achieve revenue goals. Collaboration across various departments is essential to develop strategies that enhance customer satisfaction and maximize market share in the industry. This is an office US based position with a hybrid work schedule remotely and/or another designated geographicarea as needed. Ability to travel domestically and international as assigned.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Position Oceaneering as the supplier of choice over our competitors.
- Identify potential customers early in the sales cycle, to present innovative solutions to challenges and develop competitive advantages.
- Take a leading role in the pre-proposal clarification process, ensuring that customer specifications and otherdocuments are well-understood.
- Provide clear and precise intelligence to the Oceaneering Commercial/Tendering Support team in the preparation of bids by giving a direction of customer specific technical needs and expectations.
- Assist in formulation, documentation, and intelligence of sales and bidding strategies,including the determination of target price points.
- Gather intelligence on competitors' assets, strategies and create a value proposition biased toward Oceaneering products and services.
- Maintain lasting customer relationships with key decision makers to gain intelligence in-route to securing profitable/strategic sales wins.
- Ensure that any opportunities or intelligence gained from customers that may have a specific interest in other Oceaneering business unit's products or services are swiftly passed over.
- Keep the senior management team informed of customer changes, market intelligence, and emerging markets opportunities.
- Record and report all meetings and opportunities into Oceaneering's Customer Relationship Management (CRM)software.
- Create, present and market whitepapers at technical conferences or exhibitions.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to travel extensively throughout North, Central and South America.
- Overnight stays for business travel are a requirement and will be of varying lengths from time to time
- Assist in the creation of marketing content.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Associate degree and/or five plus (5+) years of experience in account management, business development, or sales, preferably within the Oil and Gas, Survey, and/or C-Nav industries.
- Experience within a similar role supporting GNSS/survey equipment sales/projects.
- A detailed understanding of the potential business within the marketplace gained through previous experience as a Sales Account Manager / Customer Relationship Manager or Business Development Manager within General Marine/Offshore sector.
- An extensive proven track record of profitable revenue generation in the marine sector is essential.
- Excellent networking, negotiation, and influencing skills are essential with the ability to qualify customers, overcome objections and close a sale.
- Commercial and contract awareness/experience is necessary.
- Be self-driven with the tenacity to work independently.
- Fluent English speaker, both written and spoken.
- Ability to travel domestically and international as assigned and varying in lengths from time to time.
DESIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Surveying, or a related field (preferred).
- Previous history in navigation and positioning industry or specifically GNSS Correction Services would be an advantage.
- Vessel navigation, bridge management, dynamic positioning or maritime training would be a plus.
- Intimate knowledge of conceptual and strategic selling strategies from the Miller Heiman program.
- Ability to speak and understand French/German/Portuguese/Dutch.

Additional Information
This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
