Service Provider - Major Account Manager

Juniper is looking for a Major Account Manager to develop and close opportunities across a defined list of Tier2 and Tier3 Service Provider customers. The candidate will be specific-account focused, and will excel in this dynamic role, while using a Channel Partners support growth of their territory. They will be responsible for opportunities which will have been identified either through key partners, been advanced from Inside Sales or part of new customer acquisition activity. They will work with partners to break into these accounts by winning deals. The emphasis will be on expanding Juniper's footprint within the accounts by demonstrating specific sales plays. Primary Responsibilities:



  • Engage, qualify, and develop both new and existing accounts.
  • Developing new accounts with a plan to penetrate these accounts with partners
  • This individual will work with marketing, SEs, and partner account managers
  • Create a consistent cadence to driving partner-led demand generation, call campaigns including cold calling, with strong opportunity leadership skills
  • Executive selling skills required, to include various CxOs, IT Management, and other key Decision-Makers
  • Relationship management skills that translate into identifying decision-makers and influencers
  • Manage opportunities, quota attainment, sales presentations, short-term, mid-term, and long-term opportunity management
  • Understand the competitive landscape while differentiating Juniper's value.
  • Responsible for building 3 Month, 6 Month and 9 Month pipelines
  • Engage resources, including the BU's to drive sales success
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts to sales management
  • Co-ordinates and lead members of virtual account teams: SEs, Managers, Insides Sales, Channel and Channel Management members, PLM, etc
  • Reporting line will be through the Regional Director Sales


Candidate Required Background:



  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in networking and\or security sales is desirable in addition to a Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
  • Referenceable track record of successful sales experience within the region
  • Strong track record of driving sales through channel partners in SP and Enterprise accounts
  • Experience developing sales strategies, preparing proposals and quotes and presenting networking products
  • Broad-based technological awareness in the internetworking industry, complemented by knowledge of data networking concepts, with specific skills, in the areas of routing, switching and security
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong presenter and closer with the ability to demonstrate the necessary skills to negotiate issues with peers, partners and customers using a Win/Win philosophy
  • Aggressive, creative, proactive and organized
  • Excellent intuition for business
  • Good relationship-building and consultative skills
  • Ability to prioritize in a dynamic, changing environment
  • Experience with Salesforce.com
  • Ability to Travel

Minimum Salary: $195,008.00

Maximum Salary:$280,324.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $195,008.00 and $280,324.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper's pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
