Job Description:
Saab is seeking a leader of our newly established Program Management Excellence (PMx) function responsible to oversee, cultivate, and scale Saab's Program Management community. The mission of the PMx organization is to be a working body of knowledge driving excellence in program management by fostering mentorship, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the implementation of training, standards, and best practices with transparency and innovation. The candidate will also participate in setting program management standards and best practices for implementation into growth pursuits. This position will report directly to the VP of Program Excellence and work closely with senior leadership in formulating and executing numerous corporate strategies.
Lead the evolution of the PM Community of Interest (COI), providing an innovative platform to continue to scale the company's program management capabilities.
Partner with internal organization to lead the formulation, interpretation, and implementation of all program management policies, procedures, and initiatives to include, but not limited to, program management training and program management Tools & Templates.
Partner with internal organizations to develop and implement a comprehensive program management training curriculum aimed at the continued professional growth of the PM community.
Oversee the development of a PM dashboard providing program managers a single pane and dashboard of all Program Management related actions.
Serve as subject matter expert and provide oversight and execution of all program transitions.
Organize and implement formal off-site trainings to reinforce the standards of a program manager.
Collaborate with Human Resources to enhance the PM pipeline and lead efforts to fully develop and execute a PM Track which will provide a path for growth and career development for program management community.
Responsible for leading the development and implementation of a career development program for the program/product management function.
Serves as Independent Reviewer (IR) for proposals and programs.

Compensation Range: $184,400 - $248,900
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
Skills and Experience:
Qualifications:
15+ years of experience in program/portfolio management in a government contracting or professional services environment.
Bachelor's Degree in a related business or technical discipline required.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Experience with CMMI certifications
Must have extensive experience building and maintain program execution processes, templates, best practices and checklists.
Must have experience building PM training program.
Evidence of strong leadership and mentorship skills, along with experience coaching and developing program managers and senior leaders.
Expert communication and writing skills.
Strong proficiencies with Microsoft Windows-based tools including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, and TEAMS.
Must be detail oriented and able to function effectively in a fast paced, multitasking work environment.
