Financial Analyst (Hybrid)

Fike Corporation, a rapidly growing international manufacturer of pressure relief, explosion protection, fire suppression and detection equipment, has an opportunity for a Financial Analyst position. Fike is a privately held business located in Blue Springs, MO with over 400 employees locally & over 1,200 employees worldwide.

Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for many aspects of the organization's preparation, analysis and distribution of financial plans, forecasts and monthly operating results. The Financial Analyst would provide monthly, quarterly and annual financial analyses and ad hoc analyses of projects and investments.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Coordinates the development of the plan for internal and external customers.

2. Prepares balances, compiles, evaluates and controls plan data within the Company's systems and reports.

3. Supports the preparation of department plans and ensures compliance with planning processes and procedures.

4. Prepares monthly reporting packages and dashboards that support all aspects of the Company's operations, consolidates inputs from various data sources and functional groups and provides timely, accurate and meaningful information explaining variances to plan and prior year.

5. Reports, analyzes and interprets financial and operating data for the organization. This may include developing customized financial models and manipulating large data sets in support of: post-investment reviews, cost structure analysis, market niche reporting, product profitability analysis, geographic performance assessments, pricing analysis of products and other ad-hoc analysis.

6. Executes special projects as required, including but not limited to manufacturing plant rationalization, product line/customer profitability, and sales promotions.

7. Assists in the financial analysis of potential acquisitions and capital expenditures as needed.

8. Supports the annual and monthly forecasting process assuring integrity of information and performance measurement that are consistent and meaningful to senior management.

9. Assists in the development of company-wide financial policies and procedures.

10. Assists the corporate accounting function as required.

11. Maintains the confidentiality of all information processed.

Performs related duties as assigned. Regular and consistent attendance is required.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the environment is general office work and the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, hear, see, sit, and use hands. Due to the confidentiality of the work, the functions of this position will be performed in a private office location. Occasional travel may be involved, including recurring travel to the Chairman's primary residence, multiple times per week, as well as semi-regular local travel to manage various projects for the Chairman.

Job Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics or related field and two plus years related work experience. Communicates effectively in both oral and written form. Ability to think critically about information presented and analyze complex data sets. Well organized and able to effectively execute multiple simultaneous projects/duties. Strong computer skills in both an ERP environment and Microsoft Office Suite. Detail oriented and thorough. Able to work both independently and as a member of a cross-functional team. Able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers/

Preferred: Master's degree in Business or Economics. Experience in budgeting and financial planning and analysis. Experience working in a multi-national manufacturing organization. Experience with JDEdwards One World. Experience with Hyperion products.
