Job Summary
This position will impact strategic decision-making based upon timely and accurate analysis of manufacturing variances, tracking and supporting regional and global cost improvement initiatives and leading the North American and monitoring Global annual standard cost roll. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
*Required hybrid schedule. Monday and Friday from home. Tuesday- Thursday in our Middleton, WI office. Analytical (65%)
- Track capital and expense spending monthly, work with the cross functional teams to understand variances and forecast future spend.
- Analyze capital spend requests for global business, ensuring proper justification prior to obtaining management approvals.
- Tracks Cost changes related to product cost and sourcing, NPD and supply chain initiatives.
- Improves financial status by analyzing results and variances; identifying trends; recommending actions.
- Assist with the preparation for and execution of the global annual business planning/business review process and periodic updates.
- Leads the standard cost roll process for North America working with sourcing teams to ensure outliers are addressed, all SKU's are rolled, and that inactive items are cleansed from the system.
- Perform ad hoc analysis as requested by management.
Reporting (20%)
- Provides information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations.
- Provide monthly reporting and analysis including financial dashboards, graphs and reports and provide support as requested in the preparation of internal management reports and presentations.
Transactional (15%)
- Support planning/forecast development process for the functional area.
- Creates journal entries to support the monthly close processes (PPV, IB Frt., Duty, Mfg. Variance) to ensure GAAP compliance.
- Leads North American sourced goods standard costs set-up in SAP for newly created SKU's.
- Reviews and approves capital asset request forms for completeness and accuracy.
- Set assets up in system. Track amortization schedules and adjust as necessary.
Education and Experience Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 2-4 years financial analysis experience.
Required Skills
- Strong accounting knowledge, analytic skills, high degree of accuracy, and ability to multi-task
- Extensive knowledge of Excel required
- Knowledge of PowerPoint
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Requires highly refined organizational and time management skills.
- Requires creativity in problem solving.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
