Job Summary Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC) is seeking a full-time Maintenance Ops Specialist who performs maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs to enable proper operation of buildings, utilities, equipment, and facilities. This is a customer-service oriented position and requires timely and courteous service. Completes work orders and requests: painting, drywall repair, masonry, plumbing including carpentry and equipment and furniture repairs. This Maintenance Ops Specialist is also responsible for setting up equipment/furniture for events. Essential Functions 45% Monitors, maintains and performs minor repairs for mechanical, carpentry, locks, plumbing, electrical, life safety and energy management system issues; investigates and obtains trades services if necessary; coordinates and oversees work performed by external vendors; performs preventative maintenance on cooling, water, heat, air, drainage and other infrastructure systems; performs minor repairs and remodeling. 45% Receives daily work orders through the department's electronic work order system and makes appropriate entries, changing work order statuses as projects progress. Maintains and tracks a supply of parts and other materials to successfully perform assigned tasks. Responds to work order requests and/or emergency calls; adheres to applicable policies and procedures; keeps assigned tools and/or equipment in clean and safe working conditions. 10% Performs other duties as assigned including event set up. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED, and three (3) years of specialized building maintenance and/or repair experience related to area of assignment. OR An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.
