This position plays a critical role in recruiting, advising, and supporting students in the Bachelor of Business Administration - Management degree program. Responsibilities include attending transfer fairs, conducting informational sessions, managing academic advising to a caseload of students, and providing ongoing, proactive follow-up to ensure student learning and progress outcomes are met. The role requires a physical presence on campus at least four days per week, with the possibility of some remote work. Occasional travel across the Phoenix metropolitan areas may also be required. This is a short-term, one-year-only position based in the Business School, with a projected end date of June 30, 2026. However, the position may be extended depending on available funding. Essential Functions 30% - Provides student-centered academic advising for a caseload of students in the Bachelor of Business Administration - Management degree program, supporting educational goals, persistence, and degree completion. Offers one-on-one and group advising sessions focused on goal setting, decision-making, and connecting students to academic resources, financial aid, and career services. Monitors students' academic progress, proactively following up to ensure progress toward graduation and addressing any academic or personal obstacles. 30% - Coordinates and facilitates recruitment, outreach, and retention activities. Engages in transfer fairs and college events to promote the program, which will require occasional travel. Responds to inquiries and issues, providing solutions and recommendations. Prepares and presents at orientations and information sessions for current and prospective students. Collaborates with academic departments, faculty, and college staff to manage the program and support student success. Acts as a liaison to students, faculty, staff, and external groups, providing program information and support. 20% - Researches and applies best practices in student support and academic advisement to enhance student engagement and satisfaction. Develops and implements program/project goals and objectives. Assists in developing promotional materials, presentations, informational resources, and complex program reports. Collects and analyzes data to assess student learning and retention, using insights to provide proactive support for student success. 10% - Monitors and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and standards. Participates in Advisement meetings on a regular basis to ensure alignment with institutional goals and to contribute to the continuous improvement of student services. 10% - Supports the development of student success initiatives and academic resources to support student learning outcomes. Performs other duties as assigned to ensure the effective operation of student services and the overall success of the program. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business or public administration, or directly related field and two years of related program management experience preferably in an educational setting. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Special Working Conditions Travel to campus during the interview/selection process will be at the candidate's own expense. This position will require travel across the Phoenix metropolitan areas to attend transfer fairs and promote the program; a valid Arizona Driver's License is required. May require prolonged periods of sitting and viewing a computer screen. May be required to lift or carry up to 20 lbs. This position requires a physical presence on campus at least four days per week with occasional travel to external locations to best serve students, the department, and the college. This is a short-term position with a projected end date of 06/30/2026 with renewal contingent on funding source.
