Division Chief, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Inova Health is looking for a dedicated Division Chief, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to join the Behavioral Health Service Line Leadership team. Inova Behavioral Health supports Inova's overall mission, promoting total wellness - mind and body - by offering a full spectrum of mental health and addiction treatment services to the surrounding Northern Virginia and Washington, DC, metropolitan community.

Opened in 2018 on the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus our state -of- the -art inpatient adolescent psychiatry unit provides psychiatric care for adolescents (ages 14-17) who require stabilization and short-term treatment for emotional, behavioral and psychological disorders. The Division Chief for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry will work in close alignment with the Inova Kellar Center providers to ensure seamless plans of care when adolescent patients transition across longitudinal treatment programs.

The Behavioral Health Service Line at Inova Fairfax campus has 41 adult inpatient beds in addition to emergency psychiatry services across 11 emergency rooms, and ambulatory psychiatric services across the northern Virginia region.

Additional Requirements:

• Education: Doctor of Medicine degree or Doctor of Osteopathic degree from an accredited institution AND Board Certified or Board Eligible inPsychiatry
• Experience: Successful completion of an ACGME physician residency program and completion of an ACGME Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program. Previous experience as a leader in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
• Licensure:Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginiaand Virginia DEA
• Credentialing:Ability to be credentialed by the Inova Health System as an associate member of the Medical Staff with clinical privileges in Internal Medicine
