Georgia-Pacific is seeking a mechanically inclined individual who is passionate about sharing knowledge and developing the skills of others to fill an immediate opportunity at our Packerland location in Green Bay, WI, as a Manufacturing Skills Trainer. The typical hours for this role are Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM; however, flexibility outside of these hours is necessary from time to time. The Manufacturing Skills Trainer will play a key role in mentoring peers and enhancing their technical abilities, ensuring adherence to safe work practices.

Our Team

The Packerland team is a close-knit group of manufacturing employees who work as one team, striving to achieve our vision of safely delivering high-quality products on time and at a competitive cost. The operations group at Packerland partners with all internal employees, as well as with other GP mills, to develop and execute employee initiatives that improve the reliability, productivity, and safety of the Packerland operation.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support environmental and safety compliance efforts, acting as a safety leader.
* Develop training materials and improve technicians' skills using various resources such as SPs, videos, and troubleshooting guides.
* Enhance software proficiency for all personnel, including SAP, iCPAQ's, and SharePoint.
* Coach employees on equipment operation and maintenance after training.
* Demonstrate leadership in alignment with MBM Guiding Principles.
* Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and vendors to understand equipment operation and develop relevant training materials.

Required Experience:
* Willingness to divide time equally between the production floor and office tasks.
* Ability to mentor peers in safe equipment operation and maintenance
* Self-motivated and capable of working independently

Preferred Qualifications:
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
* Strong mechanical aptitude
