Regional Vice President of Operations

I-State Truck Centers is a franchised dealer & service representative for Freightliner, Western Star, and Isuzu new and used medium and heavy-duty trucks, East and Hyundai trailers, Thomas Bus and related parts and accessories. We have excelled at providing solutions and adding value for our customers for over 50 years.

Recent promotions have created an exciting opportunity for a Regional Vice President to join us in maintaining our leadership standards. This position will be supporting our locations in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

This role will report to the Executive Vice President of I-State Truck Centers.

Responsibilities:



  • Ensure Interstate's Guiding Principles of Pride in Service and creating customer satisfaction are evident in all of the business unit's operations and KPI's.
  • Deliver profitable operating results. Collaborate with other operations leaders to create and implement operating practices that leverage all of Interstate's capabilities and resources.
  • Build and maintain a strong team by attracting, developing and retaining industry-leading talent. Must demonstrate the ability to create an environment that recognizes and rewards talent.
  • Leverage technology to streamline and improve processes. Assure that the Region and individual branches are using data to provide the necessary analytics and metrics resulting in efficient execution and high levels of customer service.
  • Provide direction, methodology and analysis for continuous improvement efforts.
  • Build and develop strategic business relationships with both internal and external customers. Ensure quality, value and exceptional service is being provided to all customers. Continually assess service acceptance in the marketplace and make the necessary adjustments to provide uninterrupted value when meeting our partners' evolving demands and needs.
  • Work directly and indirectly with the region sales team to insure a high level of sales force effectiveness.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years' experience in a leadership role, trucking industry preferred
  • Ability to identify and develop high potential employees
  • Proven ability to recruit and retain employees
  • Extensive P&L experience
  • Ability to lead change
  • Sales, Service and Parts management experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Travel required; successful candidate will spend time at all branch locations in their region
