Purpose

Do you have a passion for event planning and relationship management? The University of Texas at Austin's Moody College of Communication is seeking a dedicated Career Relations Account Manager to support recruiters looking to hire talented Moody College students for careers in film, television, entertainment, gaming, advertising, PR, journalism, digital media, broadcasting, and communications. Responsibilities
  • Recruiter Programming: Manage day-to-day employer engagement activities, including company information sessions, recruitment programming, and student interviewing. Collaborate closely with company recruiters to strategize student engagement.

  • Employer Relations Support: Provide exceptional service through one-on-one interactions with company representatives. Utilize Moody Career Center's and Texas Student Media's processes and systems to assist recruiters in posting jobs, creating events, and promoting student engagement.

  • Career Fairs and Events: Coordinate and deliver school-wide career fairs and large-scale events. Use your organizational and project management skills to oversee program design, participant registration, invoicing, promotion, check-in, and day-of program management. Work collaboratively with the team to engage new company representation in all events.

  • Job and Event Promotion: Partner with Moody College's marketing and communication team to inform students about job events and opportunities. Deliver announcements via social media, targeted emails, and general communications. Support students with inquiries regarding employer activities and recruiting-related events to ensure access to internship and job opportunities.

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with three years of experience in corporate recruiting, program or event management, customer relations, or business development.

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain successful customer or client relationships.

  • Strong skills in managing processes, outcomes, and measuring results.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills in both written and verbal formats.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, both in-person and virtually.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to new technology.

  • Ability to travel outside of Texas as needed.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of communication industries and prior experience in a higher education environment.

  • Strong customer service background with familiarity in using online office management tools.

  • Familiarity with Moody College and University of Texas business policies and procedures; a degree from Moody College is a plus.

  • Experience working as a corporate recruiter or in a corporate role with recruiting responsibilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective rapport with recruiters, alumni, university staff, faculty, and students.

Salary Range

$55,000 - $68,000

Employment Eligibility:

Retirement Plan Eligibility:

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
