For more details, please see: https://hr.utexas.edu/prospective/benefits and https://hr.utexas.edu/current/services/my-total-rewards PurposeAs an Academic Business Affairs team member, this position oversees the accounting-related administration of outside and designated departmental scholarships, receipt of outside scholarship funds, refunds to student financial aid lenders/donors, and account reconciliations. The manager ensures compliance with university, state, and federal rules; timely processing of checks and payments; and responsive, high-quality customer service. Responsibilities
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field. Three years of experience in finance, accounting, and/or administrative functions and three years of supervisory experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, tact, and discretion with handling sensitive and confidential information. Experience supervising, training, and motivating staff in a team environment. Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; professional demeanor. Customer-focused and dedicated to providing consistent excellence service. Highest level of professional and personal integrity. Able to handle heavy workload during peak periods. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred QualificationsMore than the required experience. Knowledge of student financial aid program requirements. Experience with UT Austin accounting systems (e.g., DEFINE, FRMS). Experience or keen interest in business process improvement. Salary$65,000 + depending on qualifications Working Conditions
