Our team inSpace and Defense Groupis looking for a Laboratory Technician to join them. You will report to the A&T Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Chatsworth, CA.

To be considered for the Laboratory Technician, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

• High school GED or equivalent

• 2 years or more experience in electro-mechanical testing.

• A working knowledge of basic electronics.

• Ability to utilize power supplies, digital volt meters, data loggers, oscilloscopes, strip chart recorders, counters, and stepper motor controllers.

• Knowledge of transducers, such torque transducers, encoders and thermal couples.

• Ability to operate thermal cycling chambers and thermal vacuum chambers.

• Mechanical ability to assemble mechanical test setups.

As a Laboratory Technician, you will:

• Independently perform qualification tests and acceptance tests.

• Maintain test logbooks, in a neat and organized manner.

• Assemble test setups, both mechanical and electronic.

• Pump down, monitor, and be responsible for the operation of thermal cycling and thermal vacuum chambers. Including the working with liquid nitrogen.

• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.

• While performing the duties of this job, you regularly sit, stand, walk, talk or hear and use hands.

• Frequently reach with hands and arms; occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus;Candidate must pass a required on-site Vision Screening Examination

• Must frequently lift and or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds.
