Adult Congenital Cardiology Physician

The Inova Schar Heart and Vascular and Inova Children's Hospital is seeking a board certified/eligible Adult Congenital Heart Disease Cardiologist. Inova's Congenital Heart Disease Program started in 1994 as one of the country's first programs to care for congenital heart disease patients. Today, our team of highly specialized physicians continues to care for patients in every stage of congenital heart disease. We offer the only program in Northern Virginia with continuity of care for infants, kids, and newly diagnosed adults or those treated in childhood. This program is strongly in partnership with the Congenital Heart Program at Inova Children's Hospital has been caring for the hearts of our region's children for more than 25 years. Board-certified pediatric cardiologists, electrophysiologists, anesthesiologists, radiologists, and congenital cardiac surgeons have dedicated their practice to help children overcome complex congenital anomalies, including hypoplastic left heart and other single ventricle syndromes. Fetal cardiologists partner with obstetrics, maternal fetal medicine and other pediatric specialists for multi-disciplinary care coordination and consultation. Each year our, our pediatric cardiac surgeons perform approximately 300 surgeries with outcomes that outperform national benchmarks and standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our 9 Heart Failure / Transplant Cardiologist team. This role will provide an opportunity for growth and leadership, research, clinical expertise and outreach!

Additional Requirements:

• Education: Fellowship trained in Adult Congenital Heart Disease
• Board eligible/board certified in Cardiology
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association.
• Licensure: Currently hold or ability to obtain an unrestricted VA medical licensure
• Credentialing: Ability to obtain successful medical staff credentials at Inova Fairfax Hospital
