Company Overview

At Performance Drone Works (PDW), we're at the forefront of creating custom small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) for the modern warfighter. PDW is proudly American-owned, with all design, engineering, and manufacturing of our products taking place domestically.

Role

PDW seeks an IT Intern to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the IT department while gaining valuable experience and knowledge.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will thrive working in an innovative and fast-paced work environment, able to deal with problems on the fly, and delivers thoughtfully designed and highly adaptable systems.



  • Image and deploy Windows computers for employees, ensuring all required software and configurations are applied.
  • Assist with IT service desk tickets, troubleshooting basic hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Provide first-level technical support to employees via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Document IT processes, common troubleshooting steps, and solutions in the company's knowledge base.
  • Assist in maintaining an inventory of IT equipment, ensuring proper documentation of assets.
  • Collaborate with the IT team on special projects and initiatives as needed.


Requirements


  • Diagnose and resolve common hardware/software issues.
  • Strong familiarity with Windows operating systems.
  • Understand basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Proficient in common office software (MS Office, Google Workspace).
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware components.
  • Understand security principles (passwords, phishing).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Analytical approach to resolving technical challenges.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Desire to provide excellent technical support


ITAR Requirement

In compliance with International Traffic Arms Regulations (ITAR), candidates must be U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents (Green Card holders) or individuals granted asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
