The Position
This full-time position primarily assists the BBP Outreach Coordinator and/or other staff with Jersey Friendly Yards (JFY) programs, other bay stewardship initiatives, and other priority education and outreach activities in the BBP Communication Plan. This position is almost entirely grant-funded; continued employment is dependent on continued grant or other funding.

Staff Duration: Full Time 12 months
What You Will Do
Promotes the BBP's Jersey-Friendly Yards (JFY) Stewardship Certification Program and provides technical and administrative support to program enrollees;
Participates as a BBP exhibitor at various education and outreach events;
Coordinates planning and delivery of BBP-sponsored (or co-sponsored) events, such as workshops, meetings, conferences, hearings, regattas, festivals, or related activities.
Develops and posts appropriate messages on the BBP and JFY social media platforms.
Researches, develops, and uploads BBP and JFY website content.
Captures photographs and videos of BBP and JFY activities, including field research and outreach events.
Recruits and manages BBP and JFY volunteers.
Identifies grant opportunities to support BBP/JFY outreach activities and assists with the preparation of grant proposals.
Other duties as assigned by the BBP Outreach Coordinator or Director.
The Successful Candidate Must Have
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.), preferably in science and/or communications.
Experience developing and presenting educational programs, workshops, and webinars.
Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with BBP partners (i.e., academic, business, and citizen groups; government agencies).
One year of work experience generating written and verbal communications.
One year of work experience using social media (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) in a work environment.
Candidate must have strong organizational skills and must be detail-oriented.
Ability to work independently and efficiently and complete assignments with limited supervision.
Required computer skills include Microsoft Office Suite and web applications.
Some documented public speaking experience is required.
A valid N.J. Driver's license is required.
