Business Operations Department

As a part of the Vantage Operations team, the Business Operations department is responsible for ensuring standards for operation performance, maintaining customer leases, producing monthly customer electricity bills, generating regular reports, and supporting Operational Effectiveness. The Business Operations department also works closely with all Vantage departments to ensure customer success from the construction process through daily operations and delivery activities.

The Business Operations Program Management team (OPM), a subset of the larger Business Operations Team, provides centralized management and support for all business operations-related programs. The OPM delivers high-impact initiatives that support standardization, reduce risk, and bolster scalability. Operating with a continuous improvement mindset, the team focuses on building processes and supporting impactful outcomes. The OPM's scope encompasses all business operations programs across the organization, with a targeted focus on North America Operations while emphasizing global operational alignment. Key areas of focus for OPM programs include risk reduction, process improvement, operational efficiency, cost reduction, staffing methodologies, implementation strategy, and other strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing business operations.

Position Overview

This role can be based in any of these US locations: Ashburn, VA, Atlanta, GA, Denver, CO, Phoenix, AZ or Santa Clara, CA in alignment with our flexible work policy. (3 days on site required, 2 days flexible).

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects within the OPM! This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The Project Manager will work closely with the Manager of Program Management to align project objectives with organizational goals and drive continuous improvement in project management practices!

Essential Job Functions

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, benefits, KPIs, and results.

  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.

  • Run project execution to ensure compliance to the project plan.

  • Maintain alignment of project benefits with overall program and portfolio level strategy.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Program Manager and other partners to understand project requirements and objectives.

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between project team members and other departments.

  • Engage with key stakeholders to ensure their needs and expectations are met.

  • Support Program Manager with data, reporting, and slide creation for executive level presentations.

Risk and Issue Management:

  • Identify and manage project risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and decisions.

  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges.

  • Raise critical issues to the Program Manager as needed.

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and consistency of project results.

  • Coordinate the review and approval of project documentation and reports to ensure adherence to the organization's standards.

  • Conduct quality audits and reviews to ensure all aspects of the project align with operational maturity.

Resource Management:

  • Lead the allocation of resources within the project team to ensure optimal and realistic utilization.

  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as needed for specialized project tasks.

  • Monitor project budget and financial performance.

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes, tools, and templates.

  • Stay updated with industry standard processes and incorporate them into the project management strategy.

  • Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Additional Duties:

  • Handle additional duties as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, a related field or relevant technical experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in a business operations or program management environment.

Skills:

  • Proven experience running large-scale and cross functional projects.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, with experience in Smartsheet preferred.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Additional Details

  • Salary Range $125,000 - $135,000 + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown
