POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Red Peak Technical Services, LLC a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC has an opening for Field Logistics Coordinators in the Lorton, VA area. The Field Logistics Coordinator supports the contract by managing inventory, processing orders, and ensuring proper shipment and delivery of materials. They maintain organized stock, prepare reports, and transport equipment to local and East Coast sites using government vehicles, including, on occasion, those requiring a "Class A" commercial driver's license.



  • Maintain database of logistics information, orders, shipping status, delivery status, inventory, etc. through multiple technology platformsIAW local requirements
  • Perform periodic inventory of stock. Reconciling variances and insuring inventory adjustments are properly applied. Provide results to appropriate State Department personnel.
  • Receive, sort, log, and distribute all incoming shipments.
  • Identify, locate, obtain, and arrange for shipment of requested material by the appropriate priority basis.
  • Process all approved orders for stock, parts, maintenance supplies, and depot repair services as required, ensuring all paperwork is processed through required channels.
  • Prepare statistical reports, as required.
  • Ensure inventory is maintained in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Pick-up and deliver equipment to local sites utilizing a government van, or 20-foot truck, or a tractor trailer requiring a "Class A" commercial driver's license.
  • Pick-up and deliver equipment to sites on the East Coast utilizing the tractor-trailer. This is rare occurrence; not to exceed three times a year.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Payrate:$30.13 Hourly

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Required Qualifications:



  • Shall have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Four (4) years' experience in logistics relating to the inventory management, receiving, shipping, and/or service of the office automation equipment
  • Two (2) years' experience using automated inventory tracking systems to manage an inventory of spare parts, supplies, and/or equipment
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Physical ability to life, move, and pack equipment up to 70 pounds
  • Possess a valid motor vehicle driver license and Class A Commercial Driver License for tractor trailers and have a clean driving record - no accidents or moving violations within the last three (3) years.
  • Active Secret Clearence
  • Pursuant to the Government Contract, you must be a U.S. Citizen.


Preferred Qualifications or Skills:



  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and function in a fast-paced environment, meeting quick turnaround deadlines
  • Self-Starter and team working abilities
  • Knowledge in government supply-chain management and logistics functions
  • General understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
