IT Support Internship

Responsibilities:

• Computer Deployment:
  • Unbox and inventory new computer hardware.
  • Perform operating system imaging and software installation.
  • Configure computers according to company standards.
  • Prepare computers for shipment to employees at various remote sites.
  • Package and ship computer equipment securely.
• Inventory and Organization:
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining accurate inventory of IT equipment.
  • Label and track equipment using inventory management systems.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Hardware Troubleshooting:
  • Assist in troubleshooting basic hardware issues (e.g., monitor problems, peripheral connectivity).
  • Perform basic hardware repairs or replacements under supervision.
• First-Line User Support:
  • Provide first-line technical support to employees via phone, email, or in person.
  • Assist users with basic software and hardware issues.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff.
  • Help to maintain a trouble ticket system.
• General IT Support:
  • Assist the IT team with various projects and tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program related to Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware and software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part1 of a team.
• Ability to lift2 and move computer equipment.
• Must be able to work daily on site.
• A+ certification, or working towards it, is a plus.
