ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Provides support for the college internship program.
  • Coordinates, updates and maintains the employee onboarding program.
  • Proactively communicates to and works with departmental managers to resolve employee concerns and issues
  • Coordinates DOT and MVR
  • Assists with the coordination and the delivery of employee events.
  • Provides HR project support as needed.
  • Continually evaluate and recommend improvements to HR processes and procedures to meet the needs of the HR department.
  • Assists with employee relations log and files.
  • Process new hire paperwork, create employee files and new hire data reporting
  • Responsible for terminating employees in the system, exit interviews and creating vacant positions in UKG.
  • Responsible for CCMS folder creation for new hires and existing employees.
  • Coordinate with IT for CIP/PRA background checks as needed
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
  • The ability to handle stress and work well with others are essential functions of this position.
  • Due to our obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to our customers, the ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and the ability to work outside your regularly scheduled office hours when necessary is an essential function of the job


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Business Management, or related field plus 2 tp 4 years related experience /and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION



  • Maintain the confidentiality in all Human Resources Department activities to protect the privacy of employees and management and ensure compliance with confidentiality requirements imposed by law and policy.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programs, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    Ability to multi-task, organize and change directions quickly and efficiently.

  • Ability to work with a team and independently and sit for prolonged periods of time.

  • Competent and professional in both written and verbal communications with internal or external customers.

  • Strong technical aptitude: able to learn HRIS reporting system and provide additional support as needed.

  • Professional appearance and a pleasant demeanor along with the ability to remain calm under pressure, required.
