Department Information
Campus Services is a business unit within the division of Student Engagement and Well-Being. Campus Services is comprised of 5 departments providing services and support to students, faculty, staff, and visitors of Georgia Tech. In addition to these departments, Campus Services has an administrative staff devoted to strategically consolidating services in Capital Projects, Finance, and Sustainability. In its daily operations, Campus Services concentrates on customer excellence and annually asks its customers to evaluate its services by taking a customer satisfaction survey. This survey has 15 years (2005 2020) of data, showing most business services ranking in the 4s in overall customer satisfaction (Ratings based on a 1:5 scale with 5 being the highest).

In an effort to ensure excellence, we also gather opinions and reviews from those we serve at the individual department level. Campus Services holds memberships in professional organizations and benefits from its affiliations with state, regional, national, and international professional organizations, including the National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS). Campus Services staff is representative of many professional organizations as it consistently holds leadership positions in these national and international groups.

Job Summary

The Financial Analyst role will develop and compile financial data and conduct analyses, reconciliation, and projections in support of departments. This role will prepare a full range of financial-related reports, which may include cost studies, budget forecasts and modeling, and other tools.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Gather, process, and validate financial data through calculations, estimates, reconciliations, and reporting to support accurate analysis. This may include projects, programs, or other initiatives requiring financial evaluation. Generate reports as needed.

Job Duty 2 -
Determine, develop, organize and streamline data to be used for completion in financial analysis. Provide review and approval of financial documents, transactions, etc.

Job Duty 3 -
Prepare forecasts and analysis of trends in general business conditions and other related areas. Provide results of analysis and methodology used to determine results to others in the division as well as senior leadership.

Job Duty 4 -
Analyze and verify funding sources to ensure appropriate spending and billing practices.

Job Duty 5 -
Train and assist departments within the division on financial best practices and reporting.

Job Duty 6 -
Remain current on financial reporting (internal to organization) and external, applicable regulations, processes, etc.

Job Duty 7 -
May be responsible for performing assigned financial audit functions; based on results from financial analysis to problem solve complex issues.

Job Duty 8 -
Prepare financial summaries and any other specialized reports for presentation.

Job Duty 9 -
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in related discipline or equivalent, related experience; advanced certification may be preferred or required.

Other Required Qualifications
Valid Georgia Driver's License

Required Experience
Four or more years of relevant experience.
