We are currently seeking a Senior Director to join our team in Montgomery Alabama as the Program Manager for this account. This position is in Montgomery Alabama, with the possibility of remote support and travel to the client site. The successful candidate will have experience with Medicaid programs and Medicaid Enterprise Systems implementations and operations.

The Program Manager will play a key role in the successful implementation and adoption of large State health care system implementations/enhancements. The Program Manager is responsible for the health of the overall program, oversight of the PMO, the Architecture team, project managers and the Business Analyst team. The successful candidate will work directly with the client Medicaid Agency and other stakeholders. This position is responsible to the client for communicating project status, escalating decision points, and obtaining strategic direction from Project Sponsor(s) and Executive Stakeholders. This individual will also be responsible for the financial success of this contract, client satisfaction, and creating opportunities for growth with the client.

Additional duties may include:

  • Contract administration - Primary point of contact for the PMO contract
  • Project management - Must oversee Requirements and business process management
  • Recruit and staff resources
  • Formal communication and correspondence with the State Agency
  • Responsible for the health and quality of the project
  • Responsible for managing the contract resources including training, assignments, etc.
  • Responsible for keeping all phases of the program on schedule
  • Oversee, develop and monitor the tools, processes and procedures supporting the program
  • Provide regular status reports
  • Oversee and manage Project Manager(s)
  • Consolidates reporting for program for all modules/projects
  • Facilitates various meetings
  • Direct the development, maintenance, and execution of the Project Management Plan and Integrated Project Plans
  • Evaluate Vendor work plans, including tools, schedules, deliverables and resource allocations
  • Participate in and communicate organizational project strategy decisions
  • Monitor outcomes of project controlling activities such as risk identification and mitigation, issue resolution, budget status, change requests affecting scope, etc. to ensure processes are being utilized, are effective, and updated as needed
  • Communicate project status, risks and issues to the Executive Team members
  • Prepare or contribute to status reports and agendas for weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and bi- monthly meetings
  • Ensure the applicable PMO standards are used to complete project tasks

Required Qualifications

  • 8 - 10 years of experience managing multiple concurrent projects
  • 10 years of experience managing Medicaid or Major Health Care Payer projects
  • 4 - 6 years of experience managing multi-vendor projects
  • 4 - 6 years of experience with Medicaid Enterprise Certification Toolkit and CMS procurement requirements
  • Experience with Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) 3.0 including the maturity matrix and the Seven Conditions and Standards
  • Working knowledge of Medicaid Transformation Initiative
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or similar field or equivalent work experience.

Must be on client site full time in Montgomery Alabama, Travel is an option.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage work to a defined schedule
  • Capable of conducting meetings and making presentations
  • Experience using SharePoint and Microsoft Office applications

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $184,376- $215,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
