CRI Advantage is looking for an Environmental Scientists/Field Technician, to Support the Environmental Services organization in performing process sampling and regulatory compliance sampling work scope. Applicant's primary responsibility shall be to support the Integrated Waste Treatment Unit (IWTU) Mercury Monitoring Program with the intention of eventually serving as the primary technical point of contact for the sampling program maintenance and implementation. Applicant shall be capable of completing all required training/qualifications. Applicant will be responsible for ensuring all necessary equipment is in good working order and appropriate sorbent trap supplies and consumables are available to support each treatment campaign, which can extend up to eight months. Applicant will serve as the primary sampler for process gas mercury vapor sampling as required and in compliance with the EPA method and company procedures for sample planning, collection, handling, and preservation. Applicant shall communicate with the Project Environmental Lead and designated System Engineer for equipment repairs, calibrations, and replacement supplies, and shall assist with technical plans, procedure revisions, and work order reviews as necessary. Applicant shall support on-site mercury analysis, including becoming a qualified analyst if necessary. Applicant's secondary responsibility shall be to provide supplemental support for sitewide regulatory compliance sampling when time allows, and mercury monitoring program responsibilities have been met. Applicant shall support environmental field personnel in collection of drinking waste, wastewater, ambient air, groundwater, and waste characterization samples, as requested. Applicant shall support the development of sample plans, quality plans, work control documents, sample documentation, and assist in report preparation and reviews. Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biology, Geology, Engineering, or other Environmental related studies. Minimum of 3 years relevant experience. Relevant experience includes developing field work plans, sample plans, quality assurance plans, or similar; performing environmental field work and sampling of environmental media; compiling, evaluating, interpreting, and reporting analytical results. Knows and complies with environmental, safety, health, and pollution prevention regulations, policies, and procedures for this position. Ensures own safety and safety of coworkers. Reports unsafe work conditions to immediate manager. Ensures that the five core functions of the Integrated Safety Management System are understood and applied when performing job duties. Ensures that operational excellence is achieved through appropriate implementation of conduct of operations. Preparing and reviewing technical sampling documents (i.e., quality assurance plans, technical procedures, job safety analyses, etc.) Collection of samples from various environmental media, including sample preparation Preparation of data summary and validation reports Maintains records, logbooks, chain of custody, and field documentation Provides support for maintaining or sampling equipment, calibrations, and supplies. |
