For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $ 4,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Emergency Department Technician

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Summary:
The Emergency Department Technician II - LH PBH WH role assists the healthcare team in organizing and implementing basic department activities such as stocking, results retrieval and patient tracking. Under the guidance of the physician/advanced practice practitioner, this role will perform patient care such as vital signs, pulse oximetry, EKG, phlebotomy and other simple procedures.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: EMT or CNA training required.
  2. License/Certifications: Current EMT - Basic license or CNA Certification required. Current BLS Certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  3. Experience: One year of experience in an acute care experience preferred. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of Emergency Department Technician role.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
