Faculty Info. Systems Administrator

We are seeking aFaculty Info. Systems Administratorwho will primarily be responsible for managing faculty activity and reporting through digital systems (i.e Interfolio, SAP and Workday). The Administrator will serve as a data steward for the electronic faculty activity reporting system including, but not limited to, importing data from other campus information systems, modifying the configuration of the database in response to changing campus needs, creating report templates, generating data reports, and conducting technical troubleshooting. The Administrator will also develop campus communication mechanisms and oversee training and support for faculty, administrators, and staff. In addition, the Administrator will be responsible for creating, conducting, and disseminating assessments and evaluations of office-related programs such as workshops and events.

The Administrator will work closely with key stakeholders to determine system effectiveness and demands and should be familiar with information confidentiality standards. The Administrator will possess a significant understanding of faculty organization and administrative leadership and be a campus expert on faculty activity reporting. S/he will collaborate with members of the Office of Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs and the broader campus, particularly Human Resources, Institutional Research, Learning Solutions, and Information Technology (IT).

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Five years related experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Interfolio.
  • Understanding of systems configuration, integration, and data transfer.
  • Expertise in navigating management information systems and querying databases for data retrieval.
  • Knowledge of programming or scripting languages.
  • Expertise in electronic survey software programs.
  • Comprehension of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed research methods.
  • Knowledge of survey design and data collection.
  • Knowledge of emerging information technologies and information management tools.
  • Understanding of information security and privacy.
  • Proficiency in office productivity software programs.
  • Knowledge of institutional policies and procedures.
  • Ability to foster cooperative cross-functional working relationships with faculty, administrators, and staff of diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Ability to create a shared vision and inspire stakeholders to build consensus.
  • Proficiency in written, verbal, and interpersonal communication, including the ability to present complex information to a wide range of audiences.
  • Skill in conducting formal presentations and training workshops.

Starting Salary Range: $62,900 - $110,100 Annually (Commensurate w/exp.)

Total Rewards
The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of Johns Hopkins University's salary range for this position. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, education/training and other qualifications. Education and Experience Equivalency
Please refer to the job description above to see which forms of equivalency are permitted for this position. If permitted, equivalencies will follow these guidelines: JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.

The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination.
