For more information about the company and product line visit: www.sigsauer.com Position Summary: The Logistics Coordinator I is responsible for coordinating the receipt, verification, and delivery of products in various departments including Receiving, Finished Goods, Shipping, and Online Stores. These individual conducts training, maintains work instructions, and ensures efficient operations within the logistics environment. The Logistics Coordinator I collaborate with all employees within the Supply Chain department. FLSA: Non-exempt Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct training for newly hired employees in the assigned work areas.
- Perform operational improvement and skill development activities with current employees.
- Assist with the implementation of company training programs in the designated departments.
- Ensure that training materials reflect the most recent process updates.
- Maintain an updated training matrix of employees' training.
- Assist in authoring new work instructions and documentation of processes.
- Audit adherence to processes and ensure compliance with quality standards and work instructions.
- Assist in the receipt of goods delivered to the facility and maintain Receiving Crash program.
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments through Finished Goods and Shipping.
- Resolve open pick ticket problems related to holds, inventory errors, shipsets, and organizational changes.
- Coordinate and expedite special shipments such as Prototype and Engineering transfers.
- Maintain accurate reports including "Inter-Org Intransit Shipments," "Serial Numbers with Current Inventory Location," and "SIG Open Deliveries Over 2 Day(s)."
- Act as a liaison with IT for system-related problems.
- Coordinate and expedite ATF controlled items and Pre-Pack processes through Finished Goods.
- Participate in 5S initiatives and act as a lead person.
- Monitor and provide feedback on Warehouse process improvements including handhelds, labeling, and Warehouse Management Software.
- Collaborate with other departments on process flow improvements for overall business needs.
- Research and resolve WIP crashes, inventory discrepancies, and erroneously transacted material.
- Write, edit, and upload ISO documents into Oracle's Agile product lifecycle management software (OLS).
- Participate in and sustain 5S Standards.
- Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Education/Experience & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, associate's degree preferred, related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2-4 years of experience in logistics, receiving, shipping, or warehouse areas.
- Prior experience conducting training sessions in a logistics environment is preferred.
- Previous Oracle experience is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office suite applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, both verbally and in written form.
Working Conditions:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
- Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
