Main Purpose of Job:
The Senior Human Resources Manager supports the Company vision and strategic direction by providing HR support to our Pizza and Meals divisions.

This role is responsible for overseeing the HR strategy as it relates to recruitment, employee development, employee/labor relations, policy/contract interpretation, compensation administration and legal compliance. The Sr HR Manager role leads organizational change initiatives, coaches leadership to improve culture, and is responsible for the complete Human Resource service/value chain for the group. The Sr HR Manager will have a direct report, will be responsible for leading, coaching, and developing their division team of HR Managers and business leaders. This is a hybrid role based in our Solon, OH offices.

Key Outputs / Deliverables:
Execute HR Strategy (30%)

  • Driving the alignment and execution of key people strategies that attract, retain, and develop employees to support the organization's short and long-term business goals.
  • Overseeing/providing flawless execution of all Human Resources initiatives while acting as a catalyst of change where appropriate.

Org Design/Development (10%)

  • Managing the coordination and execution of workforce planning for their client group
  • Leading Leadership Development, supporting all employees to improve skills and effectiveness while aiming to build a positive, productive environment where each associate can fully contribute.
  • Performance Management (10%)
  • Utilizing the performance, talent, and succession planning management systems to help drive the achievement of company goals through objective and development plan setting, performance calibration, and talent development.
  • Pro-actively challenge the established organizational structure to drive outstanding performance.

Business Partnering (30%)

  • Providing alternate solutions on business issues to achieve the most effective solutions taking into account the Nestle principles, policies, and business unit goals.
  • Managing overall Human Resources service delivery to the business through the HR department while helping to craft the culture which facilitates and supports Nestle's goals and initiatives.
  • Providing counsel and guidance to Leadership on all people management, development, and performance investigations when required.
  • Review employee/personnel trends to assess impact on employee morale, potential employee relations, or wage/benefit issues utilizing the support of Nestle Continuous Excellence principles.

Employee Engagement (20%)

  • Leading through Nestle Management and Leadership and Organizational Alignment Principles.
  • Ensuring an effective culture and working environment that is open, empowering, fair, and equitable through detailed analysis of Human Resources scorecard data, survey results, and other workforce management data.
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with and between managers, employees, and unions where applicable.
  • Assessing Employee Relations practices to maintain compliance with Corporate, Federal, State, and Local rules and regulations while providing direction to management to help maintain a pro-active employment environment.

Qualifications / Certifications:

  • BA/BS Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business or related field Required and a minimum of 10 years related work experience.
  • Master's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Organizational Communication, or Industrial Psychology preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR through HRCI/SHRM certification strongly preferred.
  • Must have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage projects, balance multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work within a matrix environment and achieve results through effective influencing and collaboration
  • Knowledge of Federal and State employment laws, Investigation Skills, HR technical knowledge in EEO, AA, FMLA, ADA, unemployment, and worker's compensation.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and an HRIS system (ie. PeopleSoft or SAP).

Critical Experiences:

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a Human Resources/Employee Relations Management role.
  • Prior Human Resource experience must include HR Generalist, operational experience and change leadership/cultural development focus.
  • Previous people management experience preferred.
