*Duration: *12 Months (Contract to Hire)
*Location:* On-site in Lincoln, NE, Denver, CO, or Madison, WI for the first 3-4 months, then hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote). *Job Description:* We are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our Enterprise Network Team. This role involves both project-related work and day-to-day operational support across multiple network environments, including campus, data center, and WAN. *Responsibilities:* * Provide general support across multiple network environments. * Troubleshoot connectivity requests and VPN tunnels. * Complete after-hours changes as needed. * Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation. * Support campus network environments on-site. * Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and system owners to produce requirements, analyze cost/benefits, and recommend design solutions. * Provide training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge. *Education:* * Bachelor's degree in Information Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Cisco CCNA or equivalent experience desired. *Experience:* * 5-10 years of network and security experience in various disciplines: routing/switching, data center, wireless, security, VPN, collaboration, virtualization, disaster recovery/high availability, acceleration technologies, and cloud services. *Skills and Competencies:* * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Ability to work well within a team and with technical and non-technical clients. * Familiarity with NIST standards and controls. * Intermediate system and programming knowledge of: * Cisco ISR and ASR Routers * Cisco Catalyst and Nexus Switches * Next Generation Firewalls (Palo Alto) * Campus Network Design * Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and Access Points * NAC/Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) * Network Load Balancing (F5) * SD-WAN Technologies * Routing Protocols: BGP / OSPF / EIGRP * First Hop Redundancy Protocols: HSRP / VRRP / GLBP * VRF implementation and design * VSS and VPC technologies * MPLS WAN infrastructure * IPSEC VPN Tunnel design, implementation, and support * User VPN (Palo Alto Global Protect) * IPS, IDS, SSL Decryption, and URL Filtering * Enterprise QoS * IPv4 and IPv6 addressing * Scripting and Network Automation (Python, VBScript, PowerShell) * Network monitoring systems * Network packet captures * AWS infrastructure (VPCs, Security Groups, Direct Connect) * Multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP) *Top Skills:* * Strong network skills, specifically in routing and switching. * Knowledge of public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP), campus design, wireless, and Cisco ISE are nice to have. *Work Environment:* * On-call and after-hours responsibilities. * Interaction with other employees and stakeholders. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
