is seeking a dynamic and skilled Purchasing Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Springdale, AR. If you're ready to take on a leadership role and drive purchasing operations for a growing company, this is the position for you!

Salary: $68,000 - $99,000

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday to Friday

As the Purchasing Manager, you will oversee the acquisition of raw materials and supplies, manage the purchasing department, and lead a team, including training staff. You'll collaborate with leadership to ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials to meet company needs.

Responsibilities:



  • Prepare reports on market conditions and merchandise costs.
  • Work with departments and leadership to identify material, equipment, and product needs.
  • Review purchase orders, negotiate pricing, and optimize cost savings.
  • Analyze material availability and forecast future supply.
  • Evaluate vendor quotes for lead times, pricing, delivery, and freight costs.
  • Verify purchase order accuracy and ensure proper approvals.
  • Build and maintain supplier/vendor relationships.
  • Coordinate with receiving, storage, and shipping providers, managing freight claims with Project Managers.
  • Oversee multiple projects to meet schedules and deadlines.
  • Maintain clear communication with managers to ensure transparency and teamwork.



Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to prioritize.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Lean processes and methodologies; Lean and/or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP systems is preferred.
