Join our pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Purchasing Specialist, where you'll manage pharmaceutical procurement and ensure compliance with the 340B Program. This role involves strategic sourcing, managing orders with vendors and distributors (including after-hours emergencies), monitoring backorders, and providing critical updates to the Drug Shortages Committee to support clinical decision-making. You'll also oversee splitting software operations, address vendor issues such as credit holds, and provide purchasing insights to stakeholders.

This position requires experience in pharmaceutical purchasing, a strong understanding of the 340B Program, and excellent organizational and communication skills. Requirements:





  • Bachelor Degree required. Experience beyond the work experience requirement may be substituted on a 2:1 basis (8 years).



  • PTCB Certification and MD Board of Pharmacy Registration Required



  • A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible pharmacy purchasing experience.


  • Knowledge of finances and economics of procurement.
  • Understanding of the cost/price structure of manufacturing and distribution, and the relationship between drug wholesalers and GPOs.
  • Proficiency with information systems, including SAP, splitting software, and business applications.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical supply chain, including REMS, DSCSA, and other regulatory nuances.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical purchasing and familiarity with the 340B Program.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.


Salary Range: Minimum 25.73 per hour - Maximum 42.48 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
