Position Highlights |
The Educational Leadership & Policy unit in the Department of Educational Policy Studies and Practice in the College of Education is seeking dynamic and experienced instructors for a summer session positions to instruct students in field of expertise. These are non-tenure eligible Limited Term Adjunct positions for Summer 2025. The instructors will be responsible for teaching graduate-level courses (i.e. School Finance, Curriculum Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction). The instructors' responsibilities shall include: planning for instruction that is aligned to the course descriptions and objectives, preparing for instruction (using appropriate formats, differentiation, accommodation, engagement, etc.), instructional delivery of content (teaching), student assessment of performance and learning, maintenance and submission of accurate, course-related records and providing academic support to students as needed. The instructors will also maintain frequent contact with students and supervisors to ensure that students are successful in completing the course. When indicated, the instructors shall collaborate with other staff and coordinate efforts to ensure the goals for the Educational Leadership & Policy unit are achieved. A limited number of openings are available in Summer 2025.

Duties & Responsibilities |
- Prepare course syllabi, assignments, and activities.
- Prepare and deliver course lectures/workshops in person, online, and/or hybrid sessions via D2L and other UA teaching tools/platforms.
- Critique and grade student assignments and examinations, providing formative feedback.
- Participate in peer reviews of courses as needed.
- Maintain regular student contact.
- Collaborate with other teaching faculty and the Educational Leadership & Policy unit faculty as needed.
- Attend meetings as needed.

Minimum Qualifications |
- Ph.D. or Ed.D. degree in related field to courses taught.
- Demonstrated professional experience with commitment to teaching.
- Experience working in or with PK-12 educational organizations.
- Demonstrated professional experience in technology proficiency with online learning modalities.
- Experience designing and delivering educational
opportunities in this field of expertise.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Administrative experience working in Pk-12 schools or in district level leadership roles.
- Holds a valid Arizona Principal or Superintendent certification.
- Experience/interest in teaching in a variety of formats (in person, distance, hybrid, and/or online learning.
- Experience planning for instruction and teaching adult learner populations.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
